The joy of working with returning customers over years of projects and properties

We are currently working with three different clients we have worked with before. This is something we’re extremely proud to say is a familiar feeling - and something we view as a real privilege, as well as a testament to the quality of our design - and our company.

No two projects are alike, of course – the tastes and purpose of a space can change, and a new property in a new style means a fresh challenge. So, while a new project doesn’t necessarily mean repeating the same design, knowing the client means we really understand which elements to develop, what to set to one side, and where to narrow our focus.

What’s in it for the clients?

Our clients have confidence in the build quality, a shorthand on knowing they can ask for whatever they like, and we can build it for them. This can be tiny details like the exact placing of a spice racks rail, to cabinet carcasses made out of a bamboo. They know we build everything from scratch to their requirements, give expert guidance through the process, and look after them for not only in the project, but beyond.

The range of repeat customers come in many different guises, the most common are those who have had a kitchen in one home and then have moved and asked us to design and make a kitchen for their new home. Others have asked us to make furniture for additional room having had an Alistair Fleming kitchen, this can be a study, dining room cabinets, dressing rooms, boot rooms, or there are those repeat customers who have had freestanding furniture and want another piece.

The story of Tessa’s first repeat clients

My first repeat customers moved very soon after we had installed their first kitchen. They were a lovely family who I was delighted to be spending more time with on their second kitchen in their new home. The two spaces were very different and the approach to the design was also very different.  We started afresh.

Ideas that were very definite for the first kitchen – a gas range oven changed to an induction hob and eye level ovens; Fenix flat panel overlay doors were then painted, in-frame doors shaker style.  The design, manufacture and install journey for both kitchens was a great joy and the final outcomes were very beautiful but very different.

I have my fingers crossed they might move again, as it was a real treat working with such lovely people.
